Fullers Old Winter Ale

Based on the road from Heathrow airport Fullers is the last large independent Brewery based in the London area. Fullers brews some fantastically complex and flavorsome beers. Rich malt profiles and a pronounced fruity marmalady yeast character typify the house character. Old Winter Ale is one of the brewery’s seasonal releases and serves as a great example of an English Old Ale. Full of rich nutty dark tones from the use of crystal malt, a firm hoppy note from the use of Target, Challenger and Northdown hops, a marmalady note from the Fullers house yeast, it’s a warming and complex drop. It’s the perfect pint to keep the winter at bay. Try it with a lump of Whitestone Vintage Windsor Blue and a few walnuts. A tawny fireside classic!
