2011-07 All Of Islay

Book quick indeed!

What could be more in demand than all 9 Islay distilleries? So we scheduled
three nights and I'm told these were booked out within half an hour.

Standard alcohol levels were selected to keep our palate and heads a little sane. We all know
these beasts well... or most of them... and since there was no mystery whisky our guesswork
should be pretty good? And indeed one person got all nine right, our Mr Mueller.

On the first night the current bottling of Lagavulin shone brightest (get it now while we know
it's good) but on the last two nights the Laphroaig Quarter Cask managed to win through as the
most voted Islay. Bring on Best of the Best 2011!
