Nose: Sweet, brown sugar, maple and walnut. Honey. Apples, sherried raisins, banana
milkshake. Tobacco, Malibu, varnish, aged figs, subtle smoke and
caramel toffee. Palate: Caramelly, wood,
peat, soft bitterness, bandages, oily prunes.
Finish: Floral, roses, smoke, metalic edge, pepper, passionfruit,
complex, sweet, medium length. Needed to
be at cask strength. DMM Aug 10
Hart Brothers. Full bodied, slightly oily mouth feel.
Nose: Fresh & zesty, coal fires, candied peel.
Palate: First layer is sweet, mellow smoke, second layer of stewed fruit followed by sea salt & iodine.
Finish: Deliciously dry, woody & spicy.
