Congratulations to Regional Wines
tennis stars Scott ‘Waldy Express’ Walden and David ‘Djokovich’ Hughes in
winning the Bollinger Tennis Tournament for the Wellington hospitality trade yesterday. This is the third year running that our
racquet swinging heroes have taken first place, this time over 35 teams
competing, for this prestigious title.
Runners-up were the Liquor King Petone ‘Venus’ team.
On enquiring on the reasons for
their success, the ‘Waldy Express’ said that consistent training sessions
followed by a rewarding glass of Bollinger ‘Special Cuvee’ Champagne was the
key. David ‘Djokovich’ said that
visualizing the power and body of his favourite Champagne – Bollinger – spurred him on to
put extra strength in his backhand.
This event is a wonderful credit to
Negociants N.Z. Ltd who are the importers and distributors of Champagne
Bollinger. It brings the wine and
hospitality trade together and promotes fantastic camaraderie. The national final will be held in Christchurch in the first
week of March, where our lads will meet the winners of the tournaments from the
