Bouchard Ainé Clos de
la Roche Grand Cru 2004
13.5% alc, 14 months in 50% new oak, 60 y.o. vines, 75 cases
made. From the 16.9 ha site in
Morey-St-Denis. Darker ruby red with
purple hues. Very fresh and tight on
nose with dark berry fruits, ripe and rich, with a lusciousness and
sweetness. Tight, fine tannins and high
extraction on palate. Very fine-grained
and flowery, this has serious
extraction. Fruit is ripe with a meaty,
musky element. This will age well. My score 19.0-/20 RC March 07
