This is approx. 80% Roussanne and 20% Grenache Blanc, 20% BF the rest in S/S. Ch. de Beaucastel Chateauneuf Blanc 2005 (18.5/20) with 14.0% alc. Light golden in colour, this had a powerful, dense and concentrated bouquet of waxy stonefruit kernels, nuts and a little oxidation. Dry on palate, this was full of rich and soft peach and stonefruit flavours. Acidity was a little low and some alcohol warmth was evident, but this had density and length. RC May 08
