Chapoutier
Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc ‘Bernadine’ 2006 (17.5/20) made from Grenache
Blanc with a little Bourboulenc, Clairette and Roussanne. A southern Rhone
wine, this was typically golden and full with a broad nose of florals and
vegetal elements, whith white stonefruits and nuts. The palate was full with some oxidative-like
nutty elements. Dense, solid and stolid
and becoming fatter in the glass. A wine
that needed food. RC Oct 08
