fruit from Tuki Tuki, Omarunui and Brooklands sites, 100% BF with wild yeasts,
13 months in 40% new French barriques, 60% MLF.
The ‘flagship’ wine for Corbans, this follows the Champion Wine of the
Show Award for the 2006 vintage at last year’s Liquorland ‘Top 100’
judging. Complex mealy, stonefruit
aromas and flavours with a healthy toasty oak component, this carries a
beautifully refining line of crispness and acidity and a wonderful depth and
length. Simply an outstanding wine,
comparable to the best Corton-Charlemagne white burgundies. RC May 09
