CRAGGY RANGE SYRAH LE SOL 08*

Craggy Range Syrah Le Sol 08

$89.95 $102.00 750 MLS
Craggy Range ‘Le Sol’ Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2008 (19.0-/20), at 14.4% alc, ‘Heritage’ clone fruit totally destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented, aged 18 months in 47% new French barriques. Dark, deep, purple-hued ruby red in colour, this was beautifully aromatic with a bouquet of dark berry fruits, violets, spices and white and black pepper notes; wonderfully perfumed. This combines considerable extraction with a degree of stylish restraint, the result of the very tine textured tannins, lending a dryness and tightness to the fruit sweetness and richness. This will cellar 12-15 years easily.  RC June 10
