Garnet red with orange hues on rim, this has a firm bouquet of savoury berryish fruit, herbs, leather and earth showing the complex secondary development. On palate there is a firmness and hardness which requires some more bottle age to ensure accessibility. Rich fruit, a slight cool herb notes and savoury complexities complete this serious package. Drink over the next 5 years. RC March 10

The 2007 Mt Jefferson Cuvee is light ruby in color. It has a dusty and cinnamon-scented nose that is reminiscent of a village level Burgundy. It shows off the elegant style of the 2007 vintage with cran-raspberry and higher tone red-fruit notes on the palate. In typical Mt Jefferson style, the wine will gain some meat-on-the-bones in the short term. We believe this wine is a candidate for short term cellaring.
