Drouhin Batard-Montrachet GC 2004

13.5% alc, not domaine wine. Light golden yellow colour. Elegant nose with depth and fullness. Good nutty fruit aromas with bacon-like oak in support, with complexing sulphide notes and a little oxidation. Complex palate with richness and power, and plenty of weight. Nutty flavours with oak and reductive elements. Some oxidation adding to the interest rather than detracting. There is weight and presence here. Excellent cut from good acidity and a good long finish.  My score 18.5+/20 RC Feb 08
