Drouhin Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2005
13.5% alc, not domaine fruit, from the 11.87 site downslope from Montrachet. Straw yellow with light golden hues to the colour. Full, powerful nose with tropical fruits, mealy, nutty aromas, very dense and oaky, quite fantastic! Full-bodied and fat, with breadth to the palate. Quite openly rich and accessible, not quite the grip nor sweetness expected, but with a dryish core and underlying power. Real density and length. My score 18.5-/20 RC Nov 07
