The Duval-Leroy Champagne ‘Rosé de Saignee’ NV (18.5-/20), 100% PN from Vertus, made by the saignee method uses 16-24 hours maceration on skins. Soft pale pink colour, this had subtle floral, strawberry and red berry aromas with a gentle, sweet lusciousness of rich fruit on the palate. Some dosage sweetness and delicate autolysis came through. RC June 08
