LAURENT PERRIER ROSE BRUT

Laurent Perrier Rose Brut

$177.90 750 MLS
Laurent-Perrier Champagne ‘Cuvée Rosé NV

Pale pink in colur, the Champagne was beautifully delicate and refreshing with floral fruit aromas and flavours. A wine with subtle, but definite fruit, real interest, presence and freshness. Supple body and depth. Great finesse. This release of the Cuvée Rosé the best yet. My wine score 19.0/20  RC Nov 07

Laurent-Perrier Champagne ‘Cuvée Rosé Brut’ NV

First released in 1968, this has become a house speciality. 100% Pinot Noir from 10 different crus including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois and Tours-sur-Marne. The style is achieved bi skin contact (saignée) as well as blending red and white. Very even garnet pink colour. Light and fresh nose with gentle red berry fruits and a steely edge to the expression. Dry, fullish flavour spread in the mouth with red berry fruits and a crisp, refreshing edge of steel. A tannin grip comes through the palate lending a firmness and backbone. A more robust wine capable of matching stronger food. 17.0/20  RC Sept 05

DAVID

Easter weekend I flew up to Auckland and had a great time visiting family. I made sure I went to Maison Vauron, a must if you enjoy French wines and also Galbraiths to try a few craft beers.

Roast Chicken for dinner evidently. Which Kumeu River Chardy shall I choose?
