MT EDWARD CHARD 08*

Mt Edward Chard 08

$24.85 750 MLS
The first Chardonnay release from Mt Edward, this was made from Lowburn fruit hand-harvested and whole bunch pressed  and fermented with indigenous and inoculated yeasts to 13.7% alc.  Vinification and maturation included both stainless steel and French oak usage to provide a wine with a limpid lemon-yellow colour, fresh mineral-tinged white stonefruit and citrus aromas on an elegant, soft and fine textured palate exuding freshness and fine, precise flavours of peaches and nectarines.  Ideal with seafood and poultry over the net 3-4 years.  RC March 10

DAVID

Easter weekend I flew up to Auckland and had a great time visiting family. I made sure I went to Maison Vauron, a must if you enjoy French wines and also Galbraiths to try a few craft beers.
