Olssen’s of Bannockburn
have proven to be one of the top Pinot Noir producers of Central
Otago. This readily accessible
wine, named after the hill adjacent to the ‘Garden Vineyard’, captures all the
bright cherry and thyme herb flavours as in the super-premium ‘Slapjack Creek’
and ‘Jackson Barry’ labels, but is soft, juicy, and gentle in tannins. Made from 10/5 and 777 clones, 12.0% alc,
drink now. EP April 09
A well balanced, lighter style but well rounded wine. Matured in tank with oak influence to suit the weight of the wine, it displays the delicious aromas and flavours of Pinot Noir without being heavy or over wooded. Named for the hill adjacent to the vineyard.
