Schlumberger Pinot Blanc Princes 07

Schlumberger Alsace Pinot Blanc ‘Les Princes Abbés’ 2007 (16.0-/20), at 12.03% alc, 30% Pinot Blanc and 70% Auxerrois from Saering and Spiegel grand cru sites and Bux and Bollenberg sites. Very pale in colour. This had a delicate, almost dilute nose, though clean and varietal with mineral aromas. Dry on palate, this had a touch of sulphides giving a nuttiness. The flavours were quite subtle, though a chalky phenolic texture came though.  RC Apr 10
