The ‘Lodge’ is a prestige dwelling situated on the Sileni’s vineyard in the Hawke’s Bay which has a slightly higher altitude than the ‘Triangle’ site and is regarded as a cool one. Hand-picking, WBP, 100% MLF and 9-10 months oak maturation on lees. The Sileni‘The Lodge’ Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2007 (18/20), 14.0% alc, was a youthful wine with a greengage, grapefruit and more subtle nuttiness than the previous two vintages. Lovely richness, elegant and toasty oak nuances made this a wine of serious consideration. SD/RC June 2009

The Estate Selection Chardonnay has ripe stonefruit and toasted oak aromas with concentrated nectarine / peach and citrus flavours on the palate. A subtle background of almonds and toast make up a wine which is sophisticated, rich and mouth filling and will cellar for up to 6 years.
