TAKAPOTO ESTATE BANNOCKBURN PINOT NOIR 14

TAKAPOTO ESTATE BANNOCKBURN PINOT NOIR 14

The 2012 vintage of this wine won the World’s Best Pinot Noir Trophy at the biggest wine competition on Earth, the London International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2017. And we have since built up a big following for this wine in store here at Regional, so we're thrilled to have it. The grapes in this wine are grown 100% on Felton Road in Bannockburn, Central Otago. All grapes were hand harvested and the wine was matured in French oak, which provides smoothness and spice to the red fruit flavours and powerful full bodied style. It's a keeper. It drinks well now and can age for the long haul; up to and beyond 10 years in a good cellar. This wine as bottled unfined and unfiltered.
