The new website will enable us to update, inform and advise much faster, and we'll be able to add a lot of new features as we think of them. We are aware that some teething issues might crop up in the early days, we may have included a Garnacha in the Tempranillo section – but bear with us – we'll get it fixed ASAP.

We hope you'll be a pleased with our site as we are. You'll find new things everyday – so make sure you come back and peruse at every opportunity. The best way to find your way around is to take a big step and not stop walking. We're sure you'll find that Whisky, Beer or Alsatian Pinot Gris you've been looking for.

Do I need to re-sign up?
No – if you've used before, your user details have been copied over to the new site. We are having some issues that will mean account holders can't log in as they'd like. This will be fixed soon.

Can I sign in as a guest user?
Yes – you don't need to sign up to take advantage of our site. We do have a guest checkout. However we do recommend you sign up – it does mean you can save your details so you don't have to enter them each time.

What is saved under my login?
Your payment (credit card) details, delivery details (you can save more than one if you want to send wine to your bach), and any other billing details can be saved under your login details. Alternatively, if you'd prefer not to save any of these details, just make sure you don't click save.

How much does it cost to freight my purchase?
We have a flat fee of $5 per case in the North Island and $10 per case in the South Island. There is an extra $6.50 for rural delivery, and it does cost $15 to ship to Waiheke Island (if you are lucky enough to live there). We're happy to deliver anywhere in Auckland (maybe the Fuller's Terminal?) to avoid this cost.

We define a case as 9000 mls – so in practical terms a dozen wine, two dozen 330ml beers or 18 500ml beers.

How quickly can you deliver my purchase?
We use NZ Couriers, who will most likely deliver your order the next day, providing we can get it on the courier by 3pm. So to be safe, orders need to be placed by midday to secure next day delivery. Of course, in December, with the increased Xmas sales, allow 2 business days for delivery. Last day for Christmas orders is Monday 18th December at 12 noon. After this time, Regional Wines cannot guarantee delivery before Christmas.

Unfortunately Regional Wines cannot take responsibility for the breakage of delivered glassware items.

How can I pay?
We take VISA and Mastercard for on-line purchases. For alternative methods of payment, it'd be best to contact us.

What is your refund and returns policy?
Regional Wines stands behind every wine, beer or spirit we sell – if we didn't think it was good enough we wouldn't sell it. If, for whatever reason you aren't satisfied with your purchase, please contact us by email, or phone (04) 385 6952. If your delivery is broken or damaged we will refund or resend the order, but we do need to be notified within 48 hours of the order being recieved (not our rules). If the wine is corked – of course we'll replace, refund or exchange the wine.

If you purchase a wine and it's not to your taste, then we are only too happy to exchange the remaining bottles for another wine/beer.

Can I send someone a gift?
Whether the occasion is an anniversary, birthday, celebration or just because you can, nothing says it quite the way wine does. A bottle (or two) of decent wine, a flavoursome whisky or a gift pack of beer means that you actually had a crack at sending something you know they’ll love. If you're completely stumped feel free to ask our advice....or send a gift voucher.

How can I send a gift? 

We are able to send almost any bottle or case of wine, beer, whisky or spirit or whatever takes your fancy to anywhere in New Zealand with a message from you inside the box. Check out our gift suggestions on the GIFTS page or choose your own and we’ll pick, pack and deliver on your behalf.

What if no one is home when my purchase is delivered?

If the delivery point is unattended, we won't leave the product – it'll be returned to Regional Wines or the local depot as we require each delivery to be signed for. You can arrange to have the product picked up in-store, or delivered to another appropriate place where someone can sign for it.

What if my daughter signs for it, she's only 16?
Regional Wines cannot, or will not deliver, or release goods to people under the age of 18. ID may be required - a valid NZ Drivers Licence, valid Passport or the HANZ 18+ card.

Who can use the Regional Wines website?
We envisaged Regional's new website to be a hub for information, and advice on the world of drinks and liquor. To that end, anyone can use the our website. Please be aware you need to be 18 to purchase liquor on Regional's website – you'll be breaking the law if you are under 18 and purcase liquor.

I've seen some pretty tasty Grand Cru Chablis on your site, can you ship it overseas?
We can, but we use a freight forwarder to ship wine around the world. We can't ship everything and we can't ship everywhere, so it'd be best to give us a bell if you want some of our wines, beer, whiskies or spirits shipped overseas.

What's your prvacy policy? How secure is my information?
Regional Wines & Spirits takes the protection and proper use of your personal information most seriously. Your information is stored in a secure area in an encrypted format. We do not share, sell or offer this information to others. 
We do not retain the details of gift recipients or attempt to contact them with offers or services.
