To craft The GlenAllachie Wine Series, the spirit is first expertly matured in American Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrels. Subsequently, the whisky underwent additional maturation for almost two years in Wine Barriques meticulously sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker, imparting a distinctive twist onto the GlenAllachie spirit.
This straw gold malt gets its elegant stone fruit, zesty flavours from Sauternes Barriques made from French Oak, with a medium level of toasting. Sauternes is a dessert wine originating from the Bordeaux region of South West France, using the ‘noble rot’ to sweeten the wine. These Barriques were bottled at their optimum – when the characteristics of the distillery and the wood reached the perfect balance.

NOSE: Waves of heather honey, peaches and grapefruit, with hints of cinnamon and almonds.
TASTE: Heather honey, treacle and pineapple, with peaches, sweet grapefruit and cinnamon.
