HUNTERS METHODE MIRU MIRU VINTAGE RESERVE 2016
The name MiruMiru™ is the word for bubbles in Te Reo Maori. And Hunter’s traditional bottle fermented MiruMiru™ Reserve is a single vintage wine, in this case from 2016.
It is a blend of 49% Pinot Noir and 36% Chardonnay with 15% Pinot Meunier (the third classic grape in the Champagne region). Following its second fermentation, this wine was aged on lees for over three years which has seen it develop rich complexity with a full creamy texture and aromas of pastry and marzipan which complement the nectarine and white peach notes on the palate.
This is an excellent wine with fruit complexity and balance of flavour as well a dry style and crisp finish.
