LUNAR APOGE LIRAC BLANC 17

LUNAR APOGE LIRAC BLANC 17

The lovely word Lirac is the name of a wine appellation in rolling hills of France's southern Rhone Valley and is most famous for its reds and dry rosés, so this white is something of a rarity for us to see here in New Zealand. Like most whites in this part of the world, it's a blend of grapes; 50% Grenache blanc with 25% each of Roussanne and Viognier. The average vine age is 35 years and if the truism stands that old vines make better wines, then here's a top example. Full bodied, dry and richly flavoursome.
