PEGASUS BAY CABERNET FRANC NORTH CANTERBURY 18
This Cabernet Franc has great depth from its impressive deep purple colour to its firm smooth depth of flavour. It's made from a vineyard on the Glasnevin Gravels, stony soils which provide vines with warmth and free draining conditions, on north facing terraces in the Waipara Valley in North Canterbury.
This wine benefits from traditional Bordeaux winemaking methods by Mat Donaldson and his team at the Pegasus Bay Winery.
Grapes were picked in April and fermented with wild yeasts before being pressed into French oak barriques where the finished wine matured for 18 months, which provides softness and weight to this tasty wintery red wine.
