QUARTZ REEF METHODE NV ROSE CENTRAL OTAGO
Full bodied, flavoursome sparkling wine from the southernmost wine region in the world, Central Otago. Quartz Reef Rosé is made entirely from Pinot Noir, the leading grape in Central Otago, and one of the key ingredients in high quality sparkling wines from Champagne to the deep south of New Zealand.
This wine is made in the traditional method, which uses the same techniques as champagne. The second fermentation in the bottle is followed by a long time aging on lees in the bottle, a process that sees the breakdown of yeast cells into the wine, release proteins and flavour rich compounds.
All Pinot Noir grapes in this wine were hand picked and the wine was aged on lees for at least 18 months during which time it was riddled and later disgorged by hand.
