The Ricasoli winery, the oldest wine producing estate in Italy, and one of the oldest in the world is located in one of the most historically important wine regions in the world: Chianti. The estate itself is surrounded by 1200 hectares of valleys, hills, woods filled with oak and chesnut trees, 235 hectrares of vines and 26 hectares of olive groves in the communes of Gaiole and Castelnuovo Berardenga. This land profits greatly from the wide variety of soil and climate, that one would expect from a Chianti Estate.
