Seefbier was once the beer of Antwerp until lagers and pilsners rendered it extinct. The art and name are rooted in the origin of Antwerp's name. Once upon a time, a giant named Druon Antigoon terrorised the area, demanding tolls from those crossing the river Scheldt. If they couldn't pay, he cut off their hands. A hero named Brabo defeated the giant, cut off his hand, and threw it into the river. The name "Antwerp" comes from "hand werpen," Dutch for "hand throwing."

It is a cloudy golden blonde beer with big body and a unique silky mouthfeel from the inclusion of buckwheat alongside a little spice character from the rye malt and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops
