TE KAIRANGA JOHN MARTIN PINOT NOIR MARTINBOROUGH 17
Under the direction of Chief Winemaker, John Kavanagh, the Te Kairanga winemaking philosophy places a premium on the character of the site. The grapes are harvested block by block and vinified individually with punch-downs and gentle pressing to ensure full extraction without sacrificing elegance. Balanced oak treatment and minimal fining and filtration help preserve both varietal character and the inimitable personality of the terroir.
The 2017 Pinot Noir shows a rich burgundy colour in the glass. Elegant aromas of bright
berries lead into a weighty palate of juicy red fruit that is highlighted by fine tannins
and a lingering spice.
