TRINITY HILL TEMPRANILLO GIMBLETT GRAVELS BLACK LABEL HAWKE'S BAY 18/19
Juicy, smooth and seductively tasty, this is New Zealand's most famous Tempranillo and its most successful to date, as a spicy sip will show.
This wine was first made in New Zealand by John Hancock, original winemaker at Trinity Hill, who has also made port from this grape, which is also known as Tinta Roriz in Portugal where it is a key ingredient in port production.
This wine is made from hand picked grapes which were destemmed and fermented in tanks. The finished wine was aged for 18 months in combination of new French and old French and American barriques. It drinks a treat right now and can also age for another four to five years.
