Aromas of oatmeal, cedar and spice all add layers of flavour to this wine, which was made with grapes grown on three vineyards; 70% Kokako and Ohiti Valley and 30% from the Ascot Vineyard in Havelock North. Northrow takes its name from the northernmost row of vines in a vineyard, which is the first to greet the morning light and enjoys the most sunshine throughout the day. Northrow wines capture this special ‘sun-meets-grapevine’ magic, highlighting the bright, vibrant flavours that come from these long, sunny days. Whether you’re gazing at the sunset or a enjoying a meal with friends, Northrow wines bring a touch of delight.
Low rainfall over winter and cooler weather at flowering resulted in reduced crop yield for the 2024 harvest. The Marlborough growing season started well with very little frost pressure during spring and healthy soil moisture levels providing lush and vibrant vine canopies. The start of summer 2023 was mild; February temperatures were below the long-term average. However, the weather settled over harvest and delivered a beautiful, dry and warm Indian summer allowing for optimal ripening conditions.

Unit price perPegasus Bay whites have the X factor and this awesome blend of four grapes is no exception. It's made from Semillon and Chardonnay which add toasty, rich, dry and creamy notes to this off beat wine style. Ultra ripe Semillon from 33 year old vines was fermented naturally with its solids to add some funky complexity, and then aged on lees in old oak barrels for 2 ½ years. A little Gewurztraminer and Muscat add aromatic interest and appeal.
The longer than usual period in oak has given this wine a toasty and nutty character, with extra richness on the palate. There are also hints of citrus blossom and some floral notes. Skin contact during the fermentation has added savouriness, however, the wine still has crisp acidity that provides for a lively and refreshing finish. A full bodied and complex wine, not for the faint hearted. Funkier than a night on the town with James Brown!

Unit price perIt's easy to taste why Ata Rangi Rose is one of our top sellers. Dry wine and refreshing, it's an interesting blend of grapes grown in both Martinborough (64%) and Hawke's Bay (36%). It's a blend of grape varieties too, which each bring structure, fruity appeal and power to the wine; 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 16% Pinot Noir, 16% Syrah and 4% Cabernet Franc.
This is dry, fresh and medium bodied. A great rose for all seasons. Serve lightly chilled.
The name Ata Rangi is Maori for dawn sky and was chosen to portray the new beginning that the start of this winery represented for founder Clive Paton in the late 1970s.
A super tasty, super smooth Pinot Noir made from grapes grown in Martinborough and vinified in Hawke’s Bay at Clearview Estate. This is a superb red fruited wine with its lively and youthfully fruity Pinot summer berry flavours. It’s great value for a wine that just sneaks in under $30. Clearview Estate Winery in Hawke’s Bay sourced grapes from Ferry Road in Martinborough to make this tasty Pinot Noir and this is the second time it’s been produced (2019 was the first). The wine was made at Clearview Estate with about 40% whole bunch fermentation, all wild fermented followed by aging in French oak, 18% new, for a year.
