Created on the banks of Demerara, our smooth and uniquely complex El Dorado aged rums represent over 300 years of Caribbean rum crafting.

Created by our Master Blender, this rum was laid down in oak barrels for at least eight years producing a smooth and characterful blend that is perfect for sipping or for use in craft cocktails.

Light to medium-bodied nose with hints of tobacco mixed with caramel toffee. Faint aroma of dried stone fruits and flamb?e banana. Soft and faintly sweet mouthfeel with traces of oak and butterscotch. Distinctly smooth.

APPEARANCE: Bright mahogany.

NOSE: A very special Saint James with an unusual sweet fruity dominance (fig, dried date). The classic notes of very old Saint James follow on in the background with fine smooth notes of undergrowth, roasting (mocha) and spices.

PALATE: A lively woody attack which quickly becomes warm and rich. Dominant fruit which lingers on notes of fruit brandy (cherry, prune).

The year 1998 was an exceptional harvest year in Martinique.

This Saint James single cask was bottled in 2016, after 17 years of ageing. The casks used are either small Quercus Alba (American white oak) casks or second hand casks that have previously held Saint James.

After 10 years, 5 barrels were chosen from 28 by Marc Sassier, the Saint James oenologist, and Gilbert Bolinois, the cellar master. The selected rum was thus able to continue its ageing and offer this rare bottling.

Each bottle is numbered, and the cask number is mentioned on the label.

This Caribbean Rum has been spiced and infused using a secret selection of spices to deliver a Rum that has notes of cinnamon and vanilla while encapsulating a distinctive smoothness.

The continuous distillation and maturation process takes place in Trinidad, the southernmost island of the Caribbean. STOLEN Gold Rum matures for a minimum of four years in individually chosen charred American oak bourbon barrels.

 A selection of light and heavy molasses-based rums are then carefully blended by hand. The result is a golden amber hue with butterscotch and cinnamon spice aromas on the nose with a smooth and buttery finish in the mouth.

TASTING NOTES:
A sophisticated and complex spirit with light citrus top notes, layered over distinctive herbs and spices. There is a gentle heat on the palate which develops into an earthy, warm base.
The richness of our hand-crafted rum works in delightful tandem with the selected botanicals to create an unashamedly unique organoleptic experience. A marvelous a?ejo made from a blend of light and heavy molasses-based rums aged for a minimum of 8 years in charred American oak bourbon barrels. Angostura? 1919 rum possesses a rich, golden-amber hue with excellent clarity. The rum exudes a complex bouquet brimming over with aromas of cocoa, molasses, caramel and vanilla. Cinco Sangria Rum is the blend of our white rum with Unkel’s fruity organic Nelson Pinot Noir, and NZ-grown oranges, cherries, and apples.
