Officially launched in 2006, this 10 year old lies at the heart of the Isle of Arran range and exudes all the honeyed richness we have come to associate with the island distillery.

Nose: Herbal, biscuity, hedgerow greenness and dried grass, like a long English summer's afternoon.

Palate: Sweet. Quite malty, digestive biscuits, followed by green fruits and Cox's apple peel.

Finish: Slightly bitter, maltiness.

Rich and full bodied whisky, matured in port barrels, which adds great complexity and flavours of crème caramel and berry fruits with hints of raspberry jam, damsons, peppermint and barley.

Palate: Creamy palate with notes of ginger, black pepper, berry fruits and cocoa.

Finish: Warming with notes of pastries, gingernuts, redcurrant jelly and spice.

The Arran Single Malt selected for this cask strength expression was initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for 7 years before being transferred for secondary maturation into smaller Quarter casks also made of the finest American oak for a further 2 years. The process of transferring our whisky into the smaller 125 litre sized casks for their final 2 years of maturation produces far greater contact between the whisky & oak and a faster, more intense maturation.

The end result is a full-bodied expression of Arran Single Malt combining power and finesse full of rich vanilla sweetness and bold peppery spice. Bottling at natural Cask Strength without chill-filtration or artificial colouring of any sort presents this whisky in its purest form. Small casks would have been a common feature of the Arran whisky trade in the eighteenth & nineteenth centuries as they were easier to handle and transport around the island. With our much-loved Quarter Cask expression we proudly bring this tradition back to life.

Thanks to the forestry commission, sawmill and cooperage in France, we use the finest virgin French oak casks to enhance our whisky.

Layers of complexity and flavour emerge from a maturation journey that begins in American White Oak ex bourbon casks before a portion of the whisky is split between six different virgin oak casks sourced from across various regions of France (Limousin, Troncais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles & Les Bertranges).

The result is a fruity and spicy whisky with flavours of crème caramel, baked peach and sweet liquorice.

Slumbering for a full decade in quiet contentment, this beguiling spirit has a lingering taste of sweet pear, crushed apples and maple syrup with gentle notes of honey, caramel, soft licorice and roasted coffee beans.

The Isle of Jura is nestled off the west coast of Scotland. It's a place rich in legend yet shrouded in mystery. A place where good fortune holds a bewitching grip over the islanders, and the three highly distinctive Paps of Jura cast a long and foreboding shadow over the landscape. It’s a magical haven where a sense of solitude is all-pervading: one road, one distillery, one community. There is no whisky and no island quite like Jura.

This 18 year old completes the all new, revamped Jura line up and has been matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and former red wine casks. Richer and fuller bodied than its siblings this expression has warming aromas of toffee, tropical fruits and cinnamon; followed by flavours of black forest fruit, dark chocolate and hints of coffee in the finish.

A wonderful gift pack that will enable the recipient to discover the new whiskies from Jura. This 12-year-old whisky, which comes with two branded glasses, is the core of the island distillery's new range, and offers notes of gentle smoke, spice and dark fruit. The single malt was aged in bourbon casks for 12 years, followed by a brief spell in casks that previously held oloroso sherry – just the thing to give it extra flavours of raisins, milk chocolate and citrus.

An entirely bourbon-matured bottle of Arran single malt! After its distillation on the eponymous island, Barrel Reserve is matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels, bottled at 43% ABV and presented in this rather handsome glass vessel (otherwise known as a bottle).

Nose: Fresh grass sweetness, lemon tart, biscuity malt and tart apple skin.

Palate: Malty, with Curiously Cinnamon cereal, vanilla fudge and green apple alongside a faint sea breeze.

Finish: Vanilla oak and lots of aromatic spice, with salted caramel and a handful of orchard fruit.

The final whisky in a series of three special edition Viking Legend releases – is inspired by Odin, the mightiest of the Norse gods. The most peated whisky Highland Park have released to date, it is matured entirely in refill casks to give beautifully balanced layers of flavour and a character as complex as Odin himself.

Behold, the wonderful Arran 18 Year Old single malt! This expression has has been aged just shy of two decades in sherry casks, so among those delicious fresh fruity notes, there's some richer, spicy, almost Christmassy notes in there too.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Syrupy peaches, green apple and toasty oak.

Palate: Vanilla rice pudding and brown sugar, with orange blossom, allspice and candied ginger.

Finish: Lots of melted chocolate appears, with citrus peel and bread and butter pudding.

The second release in Highland Park's Viking Legend series. Found upon the bodies of slain warriors and thought to invoke the presence of Odin himself, Valknut will transport you to a roaring longhouse feast with its woody, smoky and spicy character.

Released in 2013, Thorfinn is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.

Created using a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, Thorfinn delivers a deep and complex array of flavours. Think fiery ginger fusing with sun-dried fruits and fistfuls of spice, all emboldened by our signature smokiness.

This is a 21 year old unpeated single malt from Tobermory, which has enjoyed 3 years finishing in oloroso sherry casks before being bottled. 

The nose offers clove-studded orange, dark chocolate, florals and vanilla leading to a palate of prunes walnuts and dark chocolate and a long spice and leather finish.

When you look at the almost transparent color of this Ledaig, you know straight away that the cask will have no influence on its aromatic and taste palette. Both earthy and marine, it is also rustic and at the same time very elegant and easy to access that does not exclude complexity. It expresses in a way that could not be more natural all the paradoxes that make the reputation of this single malt from the Isle of Mull.

Bottled straight from the cask, without adding water to reduce alcohol content, delivers the extraordinary depth, complexity and balance of flavours that’s now the established hallmark of our Cask Strength series. Release No. 3 is no exception.

This third release has been created using an expertly balanced combination of three cask types – first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks and a smaller quantity of refill casks for balance and depth. Using a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt, our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has achieved an intensely smoky character, coming through first on the nose with aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, balanced by honey-glazed lemons and crushed aniseed.

Discover what best suits your palate by experimenting with the amount of water you add as you release this whisky’s distinctive notes of ripe mango, cloudy heather honey and whipped vanilla cream with a hint of aromatic violet. Pink grapefruit zest, freshly-baked sponge cake and a final gust of heathery peat smoke provide a long and distinctive finish.
