If the sky is clear and cool, and you’re very lucky, you might witness a sundog: apparitions that accompany the true sun, an atmospheric trick of light and ice. Our own Sundog, a pilsner starring the vivid passionfruit and white wine notes of New Zealand hops, is much easier to find, but just as crisp and bright.

Sake bomb, Sake bomb, sake bomb...hey. Following our well received collab with ZenKuro sake brewery in 2019 we have teamed up again, this time with a different approach. Sake bomb beer in one neat package...Not quite - but we have brewed a beautiful golden pilsner with locally grown southland hops and then re-fermented it with sake kasu (rice starch by product of sake production). Making a lovely easy going beer that pairs well with Japanese food and contains subtle aromas of rice wine matched with stonefruit. Just remember your chant before drinking!

4.9% ABV.

A hoppier take on a classic style. Luppolo is a crisp, hoppy pilsner. Generously hopped with modern German varieties, Perle, Callista and Saphir to provide a subtle layer of citrus and punchy stone fruit, tempered with pleasant bitterness. Bellissimo!

5% ABV.

Northland Chili Pils is flexible. Rain or shine, it's drinkable. Big meaty koura right off the grill or simple mac-n-cheese, it's a go-to.

5.2% ABV.

The original "budweiser", this is a Czech Lager with historical pedigree. Golden colour, thick white head, a distinct pure malt aroma with a rich hop accent, unique and very mild bitterness of medium intensity to create a medium to full flavour.

Double Vision - A traditonal Pilsner malt base and yeast with the dynamic Aotearoa hop duo of Nelson Sauv and Rakau.

5.1% ABV.  Pilsner

Brewed using traditional Czech Pilsner methods.  Fruit and spicy hop characters are dominant, with a wild malt backdrop and a crisp, clean finish.

A lengthened maturation process also adds complexity.

Jeremiah was a bullfrog. Was a good friend of mine. I never understood a single word he said. But I helped him a-drink his pint. A classic NZ-hopped imperial pilsner with an aromatic dry hop from heavyweights Riwaka & Motueka, and a touch of Nelson Sauvin, Jeremiah brings a refreshing balance of citrus lime & subtle passionfruit notes.

Jever Pilsener is a Northern German (Friesian) Pilsener that is characteristic of the style. It is a little more hoppy than Czech pilseners giving it a more bitter ("herb" in German) flavour.

When is NZ Pilsner actually a Pilsner? When it’s Sea Spray Dry-hopped Pilsner! Brewed like a proper pilsner but macrodosed (in whirlpool and dry-hopping) with Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin. This makes for a lean, crisp, lager base with big, green, dank oily notes backed with delicate passionfruit for a clean, dry smashable beer with enough bitterness to keep you coming back for more.

Pilsner

5.0% – 330ml

Our Pilsner is brewed with soft Waitakere water, German Pilsner malt and Motueka hops, then fermented with a classic Bavarian lager yeast. This Pilsner offers firm bitterness up front, followed by lemon/lime notes from the hops, and leading through to a refreshingly dry finish.

This beer has been carefully crafted to keep all the flavour of a bigger beer and wrap it into a sessionable package. A combo of juicy NZ and US hop varieties sit on a full bodied hazy straw coloured base. Aromas of citrus fruits backed up by passionfruit make for a delicious juicy combo that is ideal for anytime drinking.

4.5% ABV.

The beer that built a brewery. This is an all NZ hopped English style IPA where the ABV is lower and the malt presence is higher than other more modern counterparts. Orange brown pour with a dense white head and a medley of NZ hop aromas. Some caramel meldanoidins back up this aroma and deliver the toasty, malty palate of the english style. Medium to full body with an assertive bitterness.

5.5% ABV.
