Unit price perPanhead - XPA means Extra Pale, a product of Quickchange's lighter malt base. That delicate colour though is undercut by a glorious hit of alpha oils from Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra hops. Sometimes you don't want your mouth flayed raw and your liver worked to a standstill. Sometimes a few luscious notes of mango, guava, lychee and pineapple can be just the thing.
4.6% ABV.

Unit price perThis is the OG Phantom Lord that inspired the whole range. Proof that you can be dark, without being brooding. Sure, it’s demonically black, roasty and toasty, but it’s also full of the joys of life, thanks to an abomination of hops. We’ve kettle hopped, whirlpool hopped, and added a big dose of dry hop. It’s stout meets APA. Praise the Phantom Lord.

Unit price perThis Phantom Lord’s soul draws its spirit not from the Underworld, but California, USA. As a West Coast IPA, it’s absolutely brimming with Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra hops. We were going to stop adding them, but the devil on our shoulder told us to keep going. And he was right. The result has the classic, bitter bite you want, with big grapefruit, resinous pine, and passionfruit undertones. It’s our loudest Phantom Lord yet –– well, it is American.

Unit price perIt’s unwise to make sweeping generalisations about Phantom Lords. They’re not all sinister and evil. In fact, this one is quite the fun, fruity character. Brewed with a heady combo of Kohatu (NZ), and Mosaic (US) hops, Phantom Lord Hazy IPA is full of complex tropical flavours. Pineapple, lime, and stone fruit, meet mango, citrus and berries. Just watch out, at 6.66%, it does still have a bit of devil in it.

Unit price perBrewing in the old Dunlop Tyre Factory in Upper Hutt, Panhead produce a range of highly drinkable, hop forward, aromatic beers. Port Road Pilsner takes the New Zealand Pilsner style pioneered by Emerson's and Panhead Brewer Mike Nelsons former employer Tuatara and drives it into ever more zesty NZ hop laced territory. Try it with shellfish.
5.2% ABV.

Unit price perNothing sends an industrious little beaver into a full-blown meltdown quite like a dam bursting— and this dessert stout is liquid chaos in a glass.
With waves of maple and salted caramel, a smooth bourbon warmth, and a cheeky pinch of sea salt to stop the full sugar coma.

Unit price perA West Coaster is usually a no-fuss character, and this IPA has the same laid-back attitude. It’s a modern take on an IPA featuring iconic NZ hops — Rakau, Motueka,
and Nelson Sauvin. A solid bitterness up front eases into a fruit-forward finish with layers of mango, guava, and cool white grape—the kind of laid-back fruitiness you’d expect from a West Coast commune somewhere up the Fox River.

Unit price perA flash back to 2009, the original Maximus IPA recipe before the good American hops ran out. Loads of mid boil hops for huge hop flavour and excessive bitterness. Then dry hoped to within an inch of your life. A tribute to the good old days when IPAs were bitter and malt was still cool.

Unit price perBrewed in the traditional Belgian style, this wild ale is made from a grist of 40% raw wheat and 60% malted barley, using a turbid mash, aged hops, and an extended boil. The wort is cooled overnight in an open coolship, allowing wild yeasts and bacteria to inoculate it naturally. After spontaneous fermentation, the beer is matured in oak barrels for at least one year before being refermented on fresh apricots and Pinot Gris grape skins.
The combination of apricots and Pinot Gris skins brings layers of stone fruit, citrus, gentle tannin, and vinous complexity, complementing the beer's bright acidity and expressive wild character.
From brew day to bottle, the entire process takes around two years.
Karamu Grapricots is ready to enjoy after approximately four months of bottle conditioning. While delicious when young, it will continue to evolve and drink beautifully for many years
