Umani Ronchi is an excellent Italian wine producer in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It's a company that makes a wide range of wines, including this incredibly delicious Montepulciano, which massively over delivers in taste. 

Big, bold and deep in colour, it has powerful dark fruit flavours held together in a smooth full bodied style with spicy notes adding complexity. Medium acidity adds balance to the blend, making for a beautifully integrated wine which is stunning value for money.

The family owned Beach House Wines turns out an impressive range of wines, including this super refreshing rose, which is made in a dry style with minimal skin contact to provide a pale colour, which is currently the trend in international roses. 

This is a fresh, dry, fruit driven red with a crisp finish. Great for a summer day or a winter's afternoon. 

Amaranta is a cru wine obtained from Abruzzo's most important red grape, the Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. This is a deep red wine with an intense perfume of red fruit and complex spice characters. The palate is well structured, complex and elegant, with a long, rich finish. 

A deep and dense expression of the Montepulciano grape offering fabulous drinking at a great price with bright fruit notes and soft sweet tannins. The winery is biodynamic with Demeter certification.

Colour: Intense purple. Aroma: Perfumed and bursting with red roses and ripe Satsuma plum combined with black olive and brambly spice hints. 

Palate: Juicy blue and red fruits and brambly spice come together in this medium to full-bodied wine with fine suede-like tannins adding to the mouthfeel. The fresh and bright fruit flows through to the slightly savoury, spicy and youthfully austere finish.

Rich ripe boysenberry, cherry stone, tar, and spice aromas saturate the nose. The palate is awash with ripe red fruits and punchy velvety tannins. This Montepulciano is not for the faint hearted but will excite anyone that’s into big reds. This wine has a long life ahead of it and will certainly be worth cellaring into the coming decades.
