Unit price perMade to the same base of recipes since 1821, Dolin Vermouth de Chambery has long been the benchmark for fine Vermouth. In the late 19th century, Dolin won medals in Paris, London, St. Louis and Philadelphia and in 1932 earned Chambery France's only Appellation d' Origine for Vermouth. Dolin Vermouth de Chambery is made of fine wines and botanicals found in the Alpine meadows above Chambery. Together they impart a fresh and elegant nose, with a subtle and complex palate. Ideal as an aperitif or in cocktails.
Tasting notes: Dolin Vermouths are notably lighter, drier and less pungent than their larger commercial counterparts. The particular mixture of plants found near Chambery gives a fresh, restrained and elegant nose, with a subtle, complex bittersweet palate. Even the Blanc and Rouge retain great balance, with the sugar never cloying, and just enough bitterness to whet the appetite. Each can be enjoyed as aperitif on ice, with a twist of citrus, or in a broad array of traditional cocktails. Source: alpenz.com

Possibly the most popular brand of bitters, Angostura should be considered a must when stocking a bar of any seriousness. Made with a secret blend of tropical herbs and plants with the original intent of curing a variety of illnesses. The brand is now produced in Trinidad and the blend is still a well-kept secret. The oversized, awkward label has also become a trademark of the brand. It's said that the wrong size was ordered and everyone in the facility thought someone else would fix the mistake, no one did and the label remains.

Unit price perWhat we have here is a true artisanal liqueur. Alexandre Gabriel, the brains trust behind Pierre Ferrand Cognac and Plantation Rhum, is also a bit of a cocktail geek and booze historian. He wanted to replicate the "old style dry French curacao" that they used to drink. This is a quite incredible liqueur. It's triple-distilled, blended with Ferrand cognac, then aged in ex-cognac oak for a short time to meld the flavours. The ageing gives the liqueur some woody, sea-breeze and lime zest notes.; This is a liqueur of intrigue and subtlety. There is a lot more going on here than just "generic orange liqueur". Vanilla, Mandarin, Old Spice, and sweet Indian spices all mingle on the palate. Sipping this over ice from a snifter wouldn't be out of place, but it's really a mixer. Take your Margarita to the next level, or drop a little in your next Gin and Tonic.

Unit price perUnmistakably Cocchi in character, Vermouth di Torino is one of only two geographically protected AOC vermouths (the other being Chambery). This Storico Vermouth di Torino follows the regional tradition of using fine Moscato wine as its base, which is then infused with a secret recipe of local and exotic botanicals. This is a remarkably complex aperitif wine. On the nose, you immediately find aromas of singed orange peel, vanilla, and caramel. Over time, faint menthol notes develop into aromas reminiscent of dandelion and burdock. This vermouth is very full flavored, the palate immediately detecting a bitter, earthy character which is very well balanced against the sweeter notes of licorice, orange zest and sugar. A very bold, long finish, with the bitter/sweet balance staying with you to the end. Traditionally drunk on its own or over ice, this vermouth will also add another dimension when used as an ingredient in your classic cocktails.75cl, ABV 16% Source: www.cocchi.it

Unit price perCocchi Americano means much more to Asti than a simple wine made with the infusion of herbs and spices. An aperitif par excellence. To aromatise the white wine a secret blend of herbs and spices, to name a few, gentian, cinchona and bitter orange peels, are added to the wine base which is then steeped over a period of time.
