It’s Citra in peak condition, bursting with juicy yellow jelly airplane citrus, lime Fruju and box drink tropical fruit cocktail. Peak out!

6.0% - West Coast IPA

Crack a can of Anchovy. Canned Laughter, West Coast bright IPA, brewed with an extra helping of infamous Anchovy hops from Segal Ranch in Yakima, Washington and paired with a touch of Chinook and Mosaic. Nothing fishy, just pink grapefruit bitterness, juicy watermelon, strawberry, blueberry and yellow boiled lolly notes. It’s different, but only dead fish go with the flow.

One of our favourite times for foraging is elderflower season. First appearing in early spring - the window of opportunity to pick them is very narrow. When 'go time' arrives, the whole brewery heads out and goes flower picking. We've made this seasonal release every year since 2018. It combines the delicately sweet floral aroma of these tiny flowers with the fresh tang of seasonal cucumbers. An early tickling tartness rises before finishing quickly, this beer is very clean, very dry and very refreshing.

This jammy journey of mouth FOMO keeps going!  Exotic excitement and new experiences light up the glass in volume 16. An adventure into the wild world of dragons(fruit) delivers us a science fictional type pour of a pink and purple milkshake. The aroma is a mash-up of strawberry and pear from the dragon fruit and earthy sweetness from the blueberries. The flavour is tangy bright fruits on a rich full body. The finish is long and creamy with a subtle cleansing tartness. An adventure in a glass that will make your eyes glow and nostrils flare in excitement.

In the right hands, a good lager is the workhorse of any lineup. And Jason's brewed a goodie for our core range. Deceptive in its simplicity, Local Lager is a beer that quenches, refreshes & humbly stands guard while the moment shines. It doesn't thumb its nose at anything on the table or off the grill. Easy-going yet engaging, it's an egalitarian brew that's sure-to-please. Cold fermented & lagered - like a good lager should be - NZ Pilsner malt stands up to a light hopping with local Wai-iti & Motueka for a hint of peach up front, light cracker maltiness in the body to balanced bitterness & a thread of stone fruit on the finish. If you're looking for an all-rounder with 'goldilocks' ABV & approachability, look no further.

Aliment's new core range IPA. Fittingly it's a nod to Vermont, the US state where Jason was weaned on Grade B maple syrup, long winters & stellar powder days. And - yes - it's UNFILTERED. Shockingly it isn’t green given the lavish dollops of Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic & Pacifica in every drop. But - no surprise - it’s a banger! Sticky dank cannabis, fresh lemon zest & rich, ripe tropical fruit notes coat the palate to proper bitterness & a gloriously long hoppy finish. One pint & - jeezum crow! - you’re in a Green Mountain state of mind.

It’s been a rainy ol’ winter, so a succulent, lip-smacker is in order. As the Kate Bush song says, ‘Like the sun coming out!’ We loaded equal parts Freestyle Farms' Nelson Sauvin (Nelson Lakes grown) + Nectaron Waimea West) into this, so it’s all luscious grapefruit & sticky green with lush tropical undertones. Pleasantly bitter & mouth-filling

Chuck is nonplussed, unflappable against the chaos. So much has been thrown at Chuck. But Chuck can take it. Honestly, Chuck’s simplicity belies a deeper complexity borne of fermenting our house ale yeast & NZ ale malt before chucking in silly amounts of local Cascade from Freestyle Hops to mingle with CIP014 & Riwaka from Clayton Hops. Grapefruit, passionfruit, mango & pine notes are the stars here lingering atop a tidy malt pillow with plenty of scrummy bitterness. Go ahead. Chuck this tidy seasonal brew in your hand & see where it all takes you.
