The Tobermory Distillery is found on the Isle of Mull on the way to Skye from Islay and the whiskies made here reflect this island location with coastal, maritime, saline hints. The distillery produces two different, but equally alluring, single malts: the fruity, non-peated Tobermory and the more robust and smoky Ledaig. This expression slumbered peacefully in American oak casks for a dozen years before being bottled at 46.3% ABV.

Rich and full bodied whisky, matured in port barrels, which adds great complexity and flavours of crème caramel and berry fruits with hints of raspberry jam, damsons, peppermint and barley.

Palate: Creamy palate with notes of ginger, black pepper, berry fruits and cocoa.

Finish: Warming with notes of pastries, gingernuts, redcurrant jelly and spice.

The Arran Single Malt selected for this cask strength expression was initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for 7 years before being transferred for secondary maturation into smaller Quarter casks also made of the finest American oak for a further 2 years. The process of transferring our whisky into the smaller 125 litre sized casks for their final 2 years of maturation produces far greater contact between the whisky & oak and a faster, more intense maturation.

The end result is a full-bodied expression of Arran Single Malt combining power and finesse full of rich vanilla sweetness and bold peppery spice. Bottling at natural Cask Strength without chill-filtration or artificial colouring of any sort presents this whisky in its purest form. Small casks would have been a common feature of the Arran whisky trade in the eighteenth & nineteenth centuries as they were easier to handle and transport around the island. With our much-loved Quarter Cask expression we proudly bring this tradition back to life.

Thanks to the forestry commission, sawmill and cooperage in France, we use the finest virgin French oak casks to enhance our whisky.

Layers of complexity and flavour emerge from a maturation journey that begins in American White Oak ex bourbon casks before a portion of the whisky is split between six different virgin oak casks sourced from across various regions of France (Limousin, Troncais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles & Les Bertranges).

The result is a fruity and spicy whisky with flavours of crème caramel, baked peach and sweet liquorice.

Slumbering for a full decade in quiet contentment, this beguiling spirit has a lingering taste of sweet pear, crushed apples and maple syrup with gentle notes of honey, caramel, soft licorice and roasted coffee beans.

The Isle of Jura is nestled off the west coast of Scotland. It's a place rich in legend yet shrouded in mystery. A place where good fortune holds a bewitching grip over the islanders, and the three highly distinctive Paps of Jura cast a long and foreboding shadow over the landscape. It’s a magical haven where a sense of solitude is all-pervading: one road, one distillery, one community. There is no whisky and no island quite like Jura.

This 18 year old completes the all new, revamped Jura line up and has been matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and former red wine casks. Richer and fuller bodied than its siblings this expression has warming aromas of toffee, tropical fruits and cinnamon; followed by flavours of black forest fruit, dark chocolate and hints of coffee in the finish.

A wonderful gift pack that will enable the recipient to discover the new whiskies from Jura. This 12-year-old whisky, which comes with two branded glasses, is the core of the island distillery's new range, and offers notes of gentle smoke, spice and dark fruit. The single malt was aged in bourbon casks for 12 years, followed by a brief spell in casks that previously held oloroso sherry – just the thing to give it extra flavours of raisins, milk chocolate and citrus.

The final whisky in a series of three special edition Viking Legend releases – is inspired by Odin, the mightiest of the Norse gods. The most peated whisky Highland Park have released to date, it is matured entirely in refill casks to give beautifully balanced layers of flavour and a character as complex as Odin himself.

Released in 2013, Thorfinn is part of The Warrior Series, a collection of single malts created for Duty-Free to both introduce a key figure from Orkney’s Viking history and to demonstrate the impact of cask type on our whisky’s flavour, which is immense.

Created using a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, Thorfinn delivers a deep and complex array of flavours. Think fiery ginger fusing with sun-dried fruits and fistfuls of spice, all emboldened by our signature smokiness.

Commercial description 

Welcome to the second of our core range Single Malts to be released from LAGG Distillery, the LAGG Single Malt Corriecravie Edition.   

The Corriecravie Edition is bottled in limited quantities once a year.

The spirit for the Corriecravie Edition is matured initially in Bourbon Barrels before being finished for approximately 6 months in Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads sourced directly from producer Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain.

For this edition, we have used Concerto malted barley and water from our own borehole. Our chosen yeast and fermentation time allows us to create the full-bodied flavour we are looking for in this distillation.

The taste profile is slightly richer than our Kilmory expression bringing to the fore notes of sweeter spices and rich fruits.

The Corriecravie Edition is bottled at 55% ABV, without chill filtration and with no added colour.

This is a 21 year old unpeated single malt from Tobermory, which has enjoyed 3 years finishing in oloroso sherry casks before being bottled. 

The nose offers clove-studded orange, dark chocolate, florals and vanilla leading to a palate of prunes walnuts and dark chocolate and a long spice and leather finish.

When you look at the almost transparent color of this Ledaig, you know straight away that the cask will have no influence on its aromatic and taste palette. Both earthy and marine, it is also rustic and at the same time very elegant and easy to access that does not exclude complexity. It expresses in a way that could not be more natural all the paradoxes that make the reputation of this single malt from the Isle of Mull.

The Tobermory 20 years old is an old Isle of Mull singel malt. This release is matured in ex bourbon casks followed by a sherry cask finish. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: rich and warm with molasses, golden syrup, mulled wine, nutmeg, walnuts, sultanas and dates

Palate: oak with caramelized oranges marmalade, vanilla, dried fruit, hazelnuts and dark chocolate

Finish: long and sweet with nuts, apricots and orange jam
