Unit price perSazerac Rye Whiskey symbolizes the tradition and history of New Orleans dating back to the 1800's. Sazerac Rye Whiskey was used to make the original, first and only branded American Cocktail? The Sazerac. Nose: Vanilla, clove, anise and pepper Taste: Candied spices and citrus Finish: Smooth, licorice and smoked pepper Any crispier and the glass would shatter: hard as a diamond rye, but oh! So much more of a rare and valuable gem!
For this, "The Botanist", small-batch, artisanal Islay gin we use nine of the classic gin aromatics; orris root, cassia bark, coriander seed, etc and augment these with a heady harvest of 22 wild, native island botanicals, hand-picked by our expert foraging team from the windswept hills, peat bogs and Atlantic shores of this Hebridean island of Islay.
This truly seasonal and exotic cocktail is then slow "simmer" distilled in our unique and cherished Lomond pot-still, "ugly betty". Betty prefers to work at low-pressure and won't be rushed.
So our precious botanicals are slowly and gently coaxed into releasing their complex, signature aromatics. This was a unique project for our head distiller, Jim McEwan. Jim says he had to "learn a new dance" with Betty, and none of us knew what to expect from that first, achingly-slow 17 hour distillation. The result: a highly distinctive, complex, floral gin with outstanding finish and impeccable provenance.
In an age of re-badged industrial gins, the Botanist stands out as a truly artisanal, small-batch, hand-crafted labor of love and distiller's art. A breath of botanical Islay in every glass.

Unit price perRittenhouse Bottled in Bond Rye Whisky is not only an excellent spirit, but also remarkable value. Named "North American Whiskey of the Year" at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, it was awarded a double gold medal by all judges in a blind tasting and then beat every other gold medal winner. The nose is rich, sweet, and reminiscent of bourbon with notes of toffee, milk chocolate, tangerine, and baking spices. Surprisingly smooth for a 100 proof whiskey, the palate is buttery and round with flavours of caramel, brown sugar, and spicy grain. source: drinkupny.com
Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey captures the beauty of this region while reviving its traditions. This rare and original find among Irish whiskeys is a single malt, beautifully gilded in peat reek. Managing Director of Cooley Distillery, David Hynes and chairman John Teeling resurrected the traditional Irish custom of drying the malted barley over peat fires with this peated single malt. The smoke rising through the malted barley during this drying process confers the whiskey with a distinct peaty flavour and aroma. These traditional distilling methods combined with natural ingredients and long years in oak casks continue to create a whiskey that is simply exceptional!
Nose: Well-smoked and peated, heather freshness and floral notes with a honeyed sweetness and a little wood.
Palate: Full and smooth with notes of malt and peat, honeyed smoke and barley sweetness.
Finish: Long and pungent with honey and peat smoke.

Unit price perA terrific single malt from The Balvenie. This Speysider was initially aged in traditional oak casks before it was finished in casks which previously held Caribbean rum, imparting some extra sweetness and warmth to the whisky. In fact, to create it, Balvenie malt master David C. Stewart made his very own blend of West Indian rums, filled it into casks, and then eventually replaced the rum in said casks with Balvenie's whisky! The fabulous result is a well-rounded whisky with notes of toffee, fruit and vanilla.
Nose: The aroma is rich with notes of tropical fruits, namely passion fruit, and creamy toffee.
Palate: Sweet vanilla forms a creamy palate with notes of apples and mangoes with a hint of orange in the background.
Finish: The finish lingers with a vanilla focussed character.

Unit price perHendrick’s Amazonia Gin, a Duty Free retail exclusive, was inspired by head distiller Lesley Gracie’s visit to South America in 2013. It was here she met not only Mr Charles Brewer-Carías, one of the world’s most respected explorers, she was also introduced to a host of fascinating flora and fauna. Based on the classic Hendrick’s Gin recipe, which includes cucumber and rose, this expression also uses flora from the Amazon to create a gin that’s tropical and bright with a carefully balanced blend of fruit and floral whist retaining notes of the classic Hendrick’s Gin profile. Exploring the Amazon rainforest and jungles of Venezuela, the experience left a lasting impression that inspires Lesley to this day. For every bottle sold, One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation, will plant tree in the Amazon.

Tamnavulin Double Cask was the first release from the distillery since the 1990s! Over the past 20 or so years, the distillery changed hands from Invergordon Distillers to Whyte & MacKay, closed a few years later and reopened in 2007. Much of its single malt output is used in blends, but a few casks of single malt would sneak out as indie bottlings to allow us a rare taste of Tamnavulin - but now they've got their very own expression! They initially mature it in American oak barrels before treating them to a finishing period in Sherry casks.
Nose: Chocolate mousse, extra thick double cream with a dusting of brown sugar, stewed apples and blackberries.
Palate: Christmas pudding, chocolate brownies, yellow plum and toffee-coated barley.
Finish: Spiced rum sweetness lingers on the finish.
This whisky, like all vatted malts, is made by marrying 100% single malt whiskies from different distilleries. Compass Box Peat Monster includes in its blend single malts from lead distilleries Ardmore and Caol ila. Both components are aged between 10 to 15 years. Pale golden color. Sweet clover honey, heather, and peat aromas. A soft, yet rich, entry leads to a sweetish medium-full body with caramel, orange peel, raw honey, toast, vibrant peat and pepper flavors. Finishes with a honeycomb, iodine, and toasty grain fade. Very drinkable, exquisitely balanced, and approachable with vibrant, but (despite the name) not dominant peatiness.
A sumptuous malt whisky blend, showcasing whiskies aged in Spanish wine casks. The name is a nod to our founders chance encounter with a man in the South of Spain, where he was introduced to Sherry for the first time. Years later, John was reacquainted with Sherry through whiskies aged in former Sherry casks, known for the rich, deep flavours they provide. It's a style of whisky John has been drawn to ever since.
