The peated spirit from Glenturret is named 'ruadh mhor' to differentiate it from their standard unpeated style. This new North Star bottling is an 11 year old of this spirit, filled from a PX-hogshead, with an evocative description from North Star of smelling like "funfair diesel with a whiff of candy floss". The cask heavy influence imparts toffee and black cherry notes, with a touch of coconut coming through as well.
Triple distilled then matured for over eighteen years. The result: a refreshing Lowland Single Malt whisky with the added infusion of ripe citrus and green tea, the warmth of toasted almonds and the signature smooth, delicate Auchentoshan taste.

Unit price perGlenDronach is, quite simply, the go to distillery for sherry aged whiskies. This large, imposing Victorian distillery makes whisky to match and some of their single cask offerings are as dark as night and like drinking liquid Xmas pudding and crêpes suzettes.
This is the archetypal 12 year old, aged in ex-oloroso and PX sherry casks. The nose is rich and lifted with honey, caramel, treacle, vanilla sugar and prunes dominating. The palate is rich and rounded with dried fruit, sultanas and milk chocolate. A fantastic all-round whisky and a must for the cabinet at home.
Released in 1969, the Suntory Special Reserve Whisky was a 70th anniversary commemoration of Suntory whisky. This outstanding non-age statement whisky uses a blend of the finest single malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries and matured in minazura oak. With age statements whisky not set to resume regular supply for some years, Suntory's blenders have risen to the challenge by creating a great assemblage from a restricted inventory. Enjoy straight or on the rocks.
A lightly coloured young, extremely peaty whisky from an unnamed distillery somewhere in Scotland. It's got the rampant smoke you'd expect from a beastly named whisky as well as a pleasant, citrussy fresh fruitiness. The packaging is pretty striking too, with a scary monster and a (deliberately) singed label. Bottled at 46% and un-chillfiltered, just how we like 'em
