Entity is 100% Syrah, sourced from old vineyards in the Krondorf, Eden Valley Light Pass and Ebenezer regions of Barossa. This wine was made with minimal intervention to create a traditional and elegant wine which represents the Barossa Valley. This wine is approachable in its youth, but its excellent structure allows it to benefit from cellaring. 

The wine itself is deep purple-red. The nose is fruity, spicy and savoury, with notes of ripe dark berries, cocoa and spicy oak. The palate is concentrated and fruity, coupled with bright acidity and a long smooth finish. 

Serpico is the flagship Mitolo Cabernet and is made using the Amarone technique of drying grapes before fermentation. This process concentrates flavour, contributing mid palate plushness, complexity and mouth coating silky tannins. 

Winemaker Ben Glaetzer describes it incredibly aptly, we think, as a brooding, dark and deliciously seductive red. Its smoothness is thanks to the dried grape  winemaking method, which provides intensely rich and concentrated dark fruit flavours to an already powerful grape variety – Cabernet Sauvignon. The dried grape method also seems to soften and smooth Cabernet’s sometimes edgy tannin structure by providing a suppleness and richness to the palate.

This wine was named after one of Frank Mitolo’s heroes, namely Frank Serpico, who fought crime in the United States police force. 

Like it namesake, this is powerful, structured and focussed. 

This is a wine for now or the long haul in a good cellar.

This wine is much like the man it is named after, Frank Serpico, who went against all odds to expose an immense depth of corruption in the New York police force

This gentle extraction method brings out smooth and silky textures in all of the wines made at d'Arenberg, accentuating fruity aromas and brightness of flavour.

A Burgundian styled Chardonnay from the Languedoc-Roussillon region in the south of France. This wine offers the depth and elegance of the classic Burgundian Chardonnays, but at a fraction of the price. This is a medium-bodied wine, with great fruit purity and a soft-textured palate. Stone-fruit and citrus notes are balanced with nutty elements and a chalky minerality.

Floral on the nose, with a hint of spice, the palate starts off on exotic fruits, giving way to lychee fruit and a slightly sweet finish, but well balanced with acid.

Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a red wine made from a blend of Frappato and Nero D’Avola in accordance with the governing rules of the D.O.C.G. No chemical interventions were used in this wine. This is an elegant and balanced red with great fruit expression. 

Tempranillo is the king and queen of Spanish grape varieties with over 206,000 hectares in that country’s entire vineyard area, making it the most planted red grape variety and the second most overall after the little known white Spanish grape called Airen. 

This tasty and super affordable, dry Spanish red is made from organically certified vineyards in Uclés in Castile, Spain, where the vines are grown as part of an integrated ecosystem, along with old oak trees. This region's continental climate provides hot sunny days and cool nights, which provide favourable ripening conditions for the Tempranillo grape. 

The grapes in this wine are harvested in the cool of night and early morning, given a light crush and fermented in stainless steel to preserve fruit freshness. Maceration is typically eight to 10 days and no oak is used in the winemaking, so the fruit is hero in this smooth, medium bodied red. 

The name Tempranillo comes from the Spanish word temprano, which means early. It’s apt. Tempranillo is an early grape to bud in spring and it ripens early in autumn. Along with its big bunches of small, thick skinned grapes and relatively big yields (that’s means it provides a lot of grapes to harvest and make wine from), it’s a successful grape to grow. The McManis Family Vineyards Chardonnay is light golden straw in color. Bright fruit aromas of Pear, Melon and Peach are accompanied by a bouquet of Vanilla, Hazelnut, and a hint of buttered popcorn. As with previous vintages, the wine is rich, creamy and full of sweet Pear, Banana and toasty oak flavors

This outstanding Malbec is made from grapes grown high altitude vineyards in Mendoza, which were fermented with wild yeasts for 12 days with post ferment maceration for 19-22 days followed by 12 months aging in barrel, including first, second and third use barrels. It tastes smooth, dark, full bodied, fleshy, succulent and complex… An incredible red wine.

Argentina’s signature grape, Malbec, was introduced to the country’s biggest wine region, Mendoza, by Frenchman Michel Pouget in the mid 1850s, but it has since been discovered that not all Malbec vines brought into the country were exactly the same. And the family that has done more to advance the understanding, high quality expression and understanding of Argentinian Malbec is the Catena family, whose Zapata Malbec is one of our favourite wines in store; big, bold and full bodied but with elegance to burn, thanks to its silkiness.

Vieux Château des Combes is located in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, just five kilometres away from the historic village of Saint-Emilion. This is a deep, ruby red wine. Complex aromas of ripe berries and spice lead into a palate rich with flavours of dark red fruits and coffee.
