Unit price perWinery Notes:
An exotic nose of baking spices, pear, peach and cashew. This single block
Chardonnay naturally builds on the palate initially with ripe fruits,
beautifully restrained by fine-grained oak and integrated acidity. A long
flowing wine ready now, or age for up to ten years for increased complexity.
Note from our Viticulturist Mike Saunders :
Erin's Chardonnay grows on our steepest and highest slopes, in limestone soils which
impact a beautiful minerality and tension to the wine. The block is 100% Mendoza clone, its natural acidity is a perfect companion for the limestone soils. The small berries and thick skins from 2018 have created a wine with concentration and fine phenolics which add to the structure of the wine. Variation between the top and bottom of the slope adds layers of different flavours to the fruit and texture of the resulting wine. Extensive leaf plucking and bunch thinning ensured balanced crop loads and even ripening.
Note from our Winemaker Dom Maxwell :
We hand picked our steepest block of Mendoza Chardonnay before a gentle whole-bunch pressing to tank without additions. We allowed the juice to settle overnight before we racked to French oak barrels for wild fermentation and full malo-lactic fermentation. The extended nature of fermentation brings not only richness to the wine but also layers and complexity. Barrel ageing lasts 15 months before the wine was estate bottled without fining

Unit price perA winner in so many ways from its dry, full bodied, zing to its outstanding freshness - this wine is released regularly as a freshly disgorged bottle of bubbles that pays homage to both Maori language with its lovely name; MiruMiru is Maori for bubbles, and also to French winemaking tradition. This blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier is made the same way as champagne. It spends 12 to 18 months on yeast lees and is freshly disgorged to retain its complexity and zing.
Hunter's MiruMiru won top prize for New Zealand wines at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships for the third year in a row in 2023.

Unit price perThis wine is made exclusively with hand harvested fruit from the 18 year old vines on the Blackenbrook Home block where the vines grow on Moutere clay soil covered by a layer of sandy loam. The wine making is extremely gentle with whole bunch pressing, cool fermentation, minimal pumping over, extended lees contact and using gravity to move the wine when required.
8% of the wine is aged in oak to add mouthfeel and complexity and there is no fining pre-bottling.

Unit price perA beautiful Blanc de Noir made entirely from lightly pressed Pinot Noir grapes and made by Clos Henri in Marlborough. The light pressing provides no colour to the wine but retains all the savoury, earthy, toasty flavours you'd hope for and expect from this great red grape variety.
All grapes are hand picked grapes and the wine is aged on fine lees for 10 months, partially in stainless steel and partially in old oak. The wine was stored in the winery's cellar to allow a slow bottle fermentation and secondary aging on yeast lees for a minimum of 18 months. A few hundred bottles are disgorged at a time to release onto the market, leaving the remainder aging on its lees (sur lattes).
Clos Henri began 22 years ago in Marlborough when the French Bourgeois family expanded their winemaking from the heart of Sancerre in the tiny village of Chavignol to Blenheim, in 2001. Now that their vines are 22 years of age , the family feels that they are only now starting to reflect and express the taste of the land. This family retains their land and winemaking in Chavignol where they have made wine for 11 generations.

Unit price perOne of the great dry Rieslings of North Canterbury, a region with a long dry autumn that typically results in concentrated citrus flavours of ripe lemon zest and notes of green apple, which stretch out to a lingering vibrant finish in this memorably delicious wine. It typically contains 4 grams residual sugar per litre (firmly in the dry camp) each year, including in this new release from the 2019 vintage. The wine is made from grapes harvested at 20.5 brix from low cropping land (2.2 tonnes per hectare). This Riesling is made from a vineyard planted on the Glasnevin Gravels. All grapes are hand picked, whole bunch pressed to stainless steel and fermented with a neutral yeast strain then aged on lees until bottled in late summer following harvest.
This wine drinks beautifully now as a youthful, refreshing dry white and also ages superbly for five to six years, potentially longer in good cellar conditions.
