When theatres close their doors they keep an electric light illuminated on the stage, to keep the resident ghosts happy. With lockdown, Ghost Lights have been burning bright on stages around the world. Good for the ghosts, not so for those in the Arts. Brewed with extra light malt, oats and a blend of Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops, creating a brilliant white gold brew, with a distinctly spectral haze. Just what’s needed to raise spirits.

5.0% ABV.

A traditional sweet-chocolate liqueur with cacao beans and vanilla. Hardly ever drunk neat or on the rocks, Crème de Cacao White was developed mainly for the on-trade where a colourless chocolate flavour was needed in those recipes where dark Crème de Cacao would spoilt the colour of the drink. Clear colour. No colouring materials used.

This tasty dry Riesling comes from the beautiful windswept vineyard owned by Craggy Range in the sweepingly stunning Te Muna Road in Martinborough. 

The grapes in this wine were 100% whole bunch pressed and fermented in a  combination of stainless steel and large oak cuves with 100% innoculated yeasts.

The wine was matured for four months before bottling. It's fresh, youthful, vibrant and zingy with intense lime and green apple flavour notes, a medium body and long finish. It drinks beautifully now and will age superbly for at least five to six years. 

A staple and fan favourite of the Duncan’s line up, this IPA is brewed with juniper berries which deliver hints of pine and citrus aroma and flavour.

Gouden Carolus Ambrio is a full-tasting, but deceptively drinkable, amber ale has a good fruitiness and a nice hop edge which tempers the caramellised malt. It is clean and precise, within an almost perfect balance of Challenger and Goldings hops. The recipe has its origin in the 14th century. The present version is a little more heavy and contains more hops. The balance between the different malts, the fine hops and typical tastes of spices creates a perfect harmony between the powerful taste of brown beers and the freshness of the blond beers. This fresh aromatic and pithy light-brown drink can be served cool.

Marlborough's Renaissance has had a cracking year taking out both the Champion Brewery Award at the NZ Beer Awards and Champion Small Brewery Award in Australia. Stonecutter is their flagship combining a rich complex caramel and coffee malt character with a hint of peat smoke, and a raisin and marmalade fruitiness. Stonecutter is every bit the match to a charred steak off the barbecue.

Hand picked grapes from Karl Johner's estate vineyard in Gladstone make this medium bodied rosé which is full of flavour and juicy fruit appeal. It's so flavoursome that it tastes more like a pale red wine than a typical pink wine. This is mouthwatering with red berries flavours of strawberry and watermelon notes adding freshness. It's nicely balanced by fresh acidity.

Dry, delicious dark black fruit flavours with a spicy twist in this modern Portuguese red blend of Castelão, Tinta Roriz and Pinot Noir. This is a stunning combo of two local red grapes with one of the world's most popular French red grapes (Pinot Noir). 

Great drinking now and over the next three to four years. Excellent value for money.

Aged in oak casks for at least sixteen years, this much sought-after single malt has the massive peat-smoke that's typical of southern Islay - but also offering a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting dram.
