The raptor family includes a surprisingly diverse collection of birds of prey and their kin, and stretches to include some of their fiercer ancestors from the land before time. Pale ale can feel like a similarly broad category, but this one is very much of the more assertive kind. Deep gold with piercing piney bitterness and citrus hop flavours, it’s a throwback to the relatively recent past.

Nose A meeting of oloroso and crisp pot still character. Malty, too. Lovely fruitcake richness, though not as sweet as in recent years. Palate Very firm, oily, intense and mouthfilling. Finish A hint of spice counters an increasing oaky bitterness though the barley and sherry last to the very end. Soucre Jim Murray

Havana Club Anejo 3 Anos is a white rum, smooth and light, aged naturally for 3 years to reveal an intense aroma.

Marlborough's Renaissance has had a cracking year taking out both the Champion Brewery Award at the NZ Beer Awards and Champion Small Brewery Award in Australia. Stonecutter is their flagship combining a rich complex caramel and coffee malt character with a hint of peat smoke, and a raisin and marmalade fruitiness. Stonecutter is every bit the match to a charred steak off the barbecue.

Pure Blonde Ultra Low Carb Lager is a refreshing, full-flavoured lager, brewed using the finest ingredients. Pure Blonde is brewed with no preservatives to deliver an easy-drinking, ultra-low carb beer that has 80% less carbohydrates than regular beer, 50% less calories than wine per ml and is low gluten.

4.2% ABV

Drie Fonteinen Golden Doesjel is blend of one-, two-, three-, and four-year-old lambic that did not carbonate, making it a doesjel (lazy) beer. It has been released twice in 375ml bottles. It is labeled as 6% ABV.

History / Other Notes

Golden Doesjel was first released in late 2013 after being bottled in April 2012. A second batch was bottled in May 2013 and released in early 2014. It is unclear where the four-year-old lambic comes from for these blends. The beer saw widespread distribution including in the United States and Canada. Both batches of Golden Doesjel would have been released as Oude Geuze Golden Blend had they refermented in the bottle.

6.0% ABV.

Our Amigo Mexican Amber is based on one of our favourite Mexican beers, Negra Modelo and technically is considered a Munich Dunkel.  Made with German lager yeast, all New Zealand Gladfield malts and malted maize corn, and NZ hops it is an authentic representation. This easy drinking beer is great for any occasion and goes well with any meal and enjoyed by all generations.

5.5% ABV.

Lindemans Strawberry is made from one-year-old oak-aged lambic and pure strawberry juice. A dark red/orangey, slightly cloudy colour. Deliciously fruity with the flavor of freshly picked strawberries. Its sharp and full-bodied flavor gives way to a perfect balance between sweet and sour.  With only 3.5 % Alc and 55Kcal/100ml this is the perfect treat for dessert pairing.

A fruity beer with a pure, fresh taste of cherries, sour flavours and a superb balance between the fruity and sour notes. The initial slightly sour taste, enhanced by the tannins in the cherry pips, flows into a mildly fruity aftertaste that lingers for a while.

This non alc chocolate stout is cocreated with the team at Baron Hasselhoffs artisan chocolate makers in Wellington. Since February we have brewed stout micro batches and got to work building up this tasty brew with ingredients from all over the pacific.

Cacao from PNG, vanilla from Tonga, and a heady mix of spice to heat up your next beer tasting. In full strength beers the alcohol blends all the flavours together - not our beer - all the flavours play a distinct role in this brewlicious stout.

Using a special yeast, this beer is naturally brewed, retaining all the flavour while only producing a tiny amount of alcohol that is less than 0.5% ABV.

Winemaker David Clouston blended grapes from The Spring and Brookby Hill vineyards to make this full bodied, creamy, big Chardonnay, which was fermented using indigenous yeasts with lees stirring and full malolactic fermentation.

Maturation for 11 months aging in new and seasoned French oak barrels as well as a concrete egg adds smoothness and savoury flavours to this wine, which was bottled unfiltered.
