Unit price perThis wine takes it name from an old way Hungarian reference to the vineyard from where it comes. Mandolás is one of the Oremus vineyards and it is only planted with Furmint, the most respected grape variety of the region. During the weeks leading up to the harvest, the state of ripening of the grape is systematically checked and the golden yellow, health and ripe bunches are picked. A must with great density is obtained using a delicate and gentle pressing. Fermentation is in new wood barrels, which are carefully prepared, and takes between eight and 12 days. The wine is aged in 136-litre small barrels, which are typical of the region.

The perfect companion for a sun-drenched Tuesday afternoon. Or any other day for that matter. Session beers were first brewed for their low alcohol content and uncompromised flavour, the result of lofty tax rates and government rationing during WWI. But low alcohol doesn’t have to mean less flavour, and the Nelson Pale Ale certainly isn’t lacking in any of the good stuff.
Riwaka and Galaxy hops provide a strong, clean bitterness that makes this aromatic session ale easy drinking and refreshing.

Unit price perSyrah is usually regarded as a French grape but it has found a remarkably delicious home in southern Portugal's Alentejo region where its thick skins and ripe black fruit flavours have clearly ripened incredibly well. This deeply coloured, full bodied, intensely flavoursome dry red is made from 100% Syrah and has great aging potential.
It also drinks exceptionally well right now. Decant and sip in a large glass. Or stash a few bottles in your wine collection and leave them for eight to nine years.

Unit price perMendel Winery embodies the union of Roberto de la Mota - one of Argentina’s most respected and experienced winemakers - with an established Argentine family. Together they are dedicated to producing wines of unquestionable superior quality expressing the quality and character of their very old Malbec vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina.
"The approachable, creamy and expressive 2017 Lunta Malbec has notes of ripe berries and a touch of beeswax, pollen and honey that I find in many Mediterranean wines. This comes from the classical zone of Mendoza, and in 2017, the grapes achieved good ripeness; it's juicy and with a soft palate. Some 60% of the volume matured in barrique because the year delivered wines with more structure and winemaker Roberto de la Mota thought it needed a little bit more of élevage. A textbook example of a classical Malbec from Mendoza. 85,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2019."
"Bright ruby-red. Somewhat inky scents and flavors of black and red fruits and licorice pastille, lifted by herbs. Slightly bound-up but there's excellent dark fruit intensity here, not to mention good density and a fine-grained texture for the price. Roberta de la Mota makes this wine from very old vines (roughly 90 years) in riverbed alluvial soils at the base of the Lunlunta foothills behind his winery in Mayor Drummond."
Martinborough Pinot Noir at its best with earthy aromas, dried red fruit flavours and freshness. Kereru is the brainchild of lawyer-winemaker, John Porter, who donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every bottle of Kereru Pinot Noir towards the upkeep and maintenance of a block of restored land with the aim of retaining its restoration into native forest for future generations.
This is a lighter Pinot style which still possesses lovely ripe fruit, gentle spice and driving acidity.
