The genius distillers at Lighthouse Gin have created a unique New Zealand take on the classic London Dry Gin style. They've chosen ?a few interesting native botanicals including Kawakawa, along with fresh New Zealand Yen Ben lemon and Navel Orange zest.

Tasting Note: Deep and complex bouquet of red cherry and sweet raspberry, pomegranate and hints of fresh zesty blood orange. Full-bodied yet extremely elegant, fine-grained but present tannins, minerally, youthful acidity and hints of Five Spice and a deep core of cool, vibrant fruit, lovely length, and persistence. Cellar 12 to 18 years.

Winemaking Notes: Harvested 9th April 2016, bottled 15th February 2018. Hand-picked and carefully selected 100% Abel Clone Pinot Noir grapes. All de-stemmed, cold-macerated and fermented in small batch stainless steel vats and left on grape skins for 4 weeks. Aged in 100% new French oak barriques of the Bourgogne Tonnelleries Rousseau, Remond and Meyrieux for 20 months. No fining and only light filtration before bottling.

Myer’s Original Dark Rum is a blend of up to nine different rums of various ages, all of which are distilled using Jamaica's typical production method: pot-stills. The Original Dark Rum is slightly unique in Jamaica however, because some of the molasses used earlier in the process is added back in after distillation. Myers rum has been produced since 1879 and named after its founder, Fred Myers.

This cider is the 3rd release of our original style, made with a touch of sweetness, to balance out the full body. It has spent 18 months in barrel, and is comprised of a blend of both dry and sweet cider batches, from a mix of heritage and desert apples. This blend gives it an impressive intensity, rich tannins, and a balanced sweetness, that should not be cloying. Once the juice is pressed it is left to undergo wild fermentation in old French oak barrels. Post ferment, the cider is aged in barrel, on lees, to build complexity and to soften the tannins. It’s designed to be a cider that delivers more than just sweetness and a light apple flavour, it’s designed to deliver a balance between tannins, sweetness, and alcohol.

This cider is handmade and mildly offensive, but you'll get over it.

This complex and affordable Chianti Classico is a full bodied, ripe and powerful wine made from a blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, each grape contributing depth, body and balance to the wine. 

This brand was traditionally produced by a well known cooperative with over 60 different grape growers contributing to the blend but the brand has now been acquired by Tenute Piccini, which employs the highly respected consultant oenologist, Riccardo Cotarella.

THE CHIANTI CLASSICO APPELLATION

Chianti Classico is the heart of the wider Chianti production zone and its wines are distinguished by a trademarked black rooster on their labels. The wines of Chianti Classico are higher in quality and noticeably so in taste than wines labelled Chianti, which come from a broader area in Tuscany. The wines taste better because the vines are planted on hillsides with a higher degree of  iron rich soils and a greater diurnal temperature range, which provides more powerful, riper fruit flavours, which are balanced by higher acidity thanks to the cooler night time temperatures. 

The Sangiovese grape must make up 80% of all wines labelled Chianti Classico compared to 70% Sangiovese for wines labelled Chianti. 

Chianti was first defined as a wine producing sub region within Tuscany in 1716 by the Grand Duke of Tuscany Cosimo III, whose wanted to protect the integrity of the wines and prevent fraud. The Chianti Classico Wine Consortium was formed in 1924 with the distinctive Black Rooster trademark chosen to feature on the labels. 

Mon Cheval is a small family owned wine brand in the Waipara Valley, which is the heart of the North Canterbury wine scene - one of New Zealand's highest quality Pinot Noir regions.

7.0% ABV.

The first thing you will notice is the intense aroma of this wine with notes of citrus and tropical fruits. These flavours follow through on the palate, where the wild fermentation in barrel adds great weight and texture to the wine.

If you're looking for an organically certified, approachable white wine, here's a lovely off dry wine with white fleshed pear flavours and a hint of fresh lemon captured in a soft, smooth, dry white for drinking now or soon rather than for cellaring. It will hold its own for two to three years and offers good value for money.

Does what it says on the tin, mate! Everything you like from a hazy: full flavour, juicy, and all of those delicious tropical notes from dry hopping, without too much bitter.

Flavours: Quenching tropical fruits, citrus and lime zest from the US and NZ hops with solid body to match from Oats and Wheat.

5.3% ABV.

The taste of Kiwi hay paddocks and sunshine, bright fresh fruity New Zealand hop aromas (passionfruit, mango, citrus) layered over a firm biscuity malt backbone.

Refreshing and complex. As far as we are concerned the crucial element for a perfect summer. 

Drink with: Barbequed fish, shellfish , salads.

4.2% ABV.

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is an iconic New Zealand wine with depth, complexity and a dry style.  Fermentation is carried out mostly in stainless steel tanks which delivers freshness and directly fruit flavours, which are balanced by a small portion of the wine, typically 4% of the blend, being fermented at warmer temperatures in old French oak barriques. A little goes a long way and this oak fermentation provides a smoothness, softness and flavoursome interest to this deliciously complex Sauvignon Blanc. Its flavour notes span the spectrum of appealing tropical fruit and herbs to dry spicy aromas and a lingering freshness on the long finish. 

These complex winemaking factors combine to create a wine that is a noticeable step up from many other Sauvignon Blancs on the market.

The "i" might be in lower case, but beware - this is a capital beer.  

Brimming with luscious roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavours drizzled over a scoop of velvety ice cream.iStout Affogato is balanced by a brisk bitterness and bold hoppy freshness, remixed by the addition of lactose, coffee, and vanilla in the brew.  

As with all our beers, this beer is a very modern interpretation of this classic style.
