Van Honsebrouck is a family owned brewery in West Flanders Belgium. It makes a range if beers including Bacchus, a beer in the local style of the region. It is on this beer that the kriek and framboise is based, a premium fruit beer for which Belgium is well known. Hand wrapped and presented in half champagne bottles. This is a remarkable beer.

After secondary fermentation in the bottle in the purest tradition of Floreffe’s abbey beers, it has a very deep, almost black colour with a brown head. The nose, combining aniseed, liquorice, roast aromas and white fruits, is exceptionally rich and refined. The power of the ingredients is obvious from the first sip, expressed in coffee and grilled cocoa bean flavours. 

The beer is robust, warm but not liquor-like, against the slightly acrid background of roasted malts. With its moderate alcohol level and its long, noticeably acidic finish, Floreffe Prima Melior is a connoisseur’s beer, complex but accessible. Stored under good conditions, the aniseed notes give way to woody, almost maderised notes, a must for lovers of matured beers.

Kapittel Tripel Abt 10° is an amber-coloured high-fermentation tripel beer, which undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle. This tripel has a full and complex range of flavours. It has been described as full-bodied, slightly hoppy but not bitter, tending towards a slightly sweet flavour. The unpleasant taste of alcohol has been replaced by a warm mouthfeel.

Witkap Pater Dubbel (alc. 7% vol.) is a dark abbey beer with cream foam head, a full flavour and hints of caramel. Remarkably dark beer that is particularly well associate with Belgian chocolate desserts.

The first sip of this amber-orange-coloured Kellerbier reveals a touch of caramel. Its fresh and fruity aroma is owed to the chosen hops and accompanied by a pleasant bitterness. In combination with a well-balanced malt body this wonderfully mild and smooth beer was created to please both, your tongue and mind. The hops chosen are the rare sort “Hallertauer Record” for bittering and "Hallertauer Perle" as well as “Hallertauer Mittelfrüh” for aroma

Greystone is one of North Canterbury's wine stars situated on the slopes of limestone rich hills in Omihi. All of the grapes that go into Greystone wines are 100% certified organic with BioGro NZ and all are estate grown. No additional fruit is purchased to supplement production, which is one of many incremental steps that go into Greystone's high quality wines.

This off dry Pinot Gris has body and richness thanks to the long dry autumn weather in North Canterbury, which allows long ripening and lovely ripe fruity flavours.

About Greystone

The Greystone wine story began in 2000 when the Thomas Family bought an old sheep farm on the Omihi hills in the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The rolling limestone hills lured this family in and their goal was a single minded one: to make great wines from the limestone rich soils here. Fast forward 20 years and Greystone is one of the great (and, some might say, yet to be fully discovered) wineries in this outstanding wine region. Not least due to the work of winemaker Dom Maxwell and general manager Nick Gill, who began working together in 2005 and has grown along with the brand and quality. 

Red IPA - fresh, fruity, gooseberry and citrus hop characteristics with a gentle red malt flavour to balance.

A rascal lives in us all, sometimes big, sometimes dormant, never extinct.  Our playful nature is something close to the core and too often forgotten.  Go on, make a snowman, give it some devil horns, kick it over and make a snow angel!!

A real little peach brandy made using the best peach in Kecskemét. High purity, pleasantly fruity, noble drink. A pálinka made from the distillation of the juicy fruit of a selected, mature, juicy fruit, which has a pungent flavor in the smell and the taste of the mature peach's aroma.

This whisky boasts a profile that seems older than its 15 years of maturation. Big sherry in style it offers oodles of sandalwood, Xmas cake and rancio notes. There's bags of complexity in this malt meaning you can really get stuck into it in an intellectual way too. 

Dry, flinty South African Chenin Blanc with a twist; winemakers Vincent and Tania met when he was visiting her home in South Africa. They got married, returned to his homeland in France and now make small volumes of high quality wine in both countries. 

This dry, flinty, deliciously complex and succulent white is inspired by Vouvray from the Loire Valley - the classic home of Chenin Blanc.
This wine is made from grapes that were all hand picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts. It comes from Swartland, one of the most beautiful regions in a drop dead gorgeously beautiful country.

Big dark red with smooth mouthfeel and soft plummy flavours of ripe fruit, spice and liquorice notes leading into complex blueberry flavours. Montepulciano is one of the great red grapes of Italy, but is often considered a bit of a workhorse because it  naturally grows big bunches of grapes, which makes it easy to make high volumes of wine from. This wine is a step up from the most straightforward Montepulcianos on the market, and it's an incredibly smooth, deliciously drinkable red - a great wine to enjoy now and over the next two to three years.

Hapi Daze (4.6% Pacific Pale Ale); Sessionable in strength, bright golden in colour and loaded with generous quantities of aromatic New Zealand hops. Very friendly indeed.
