This fabulous Ciderkin is dry, super refreshing and only 3.5% abv while still having loads of heritage apple flavour. In fact, we think the flavour is so good, you won't even notice this isn't a traditionally made cider!
Ciderkin is naturally lower in alcohol than our other ciders because it is made by soaking pressed apple skins which results in a much lower sugar content before fermentation. For this ciderkin we soaked the skins for 48 hours to extract as much flavour as possible. With much less sugar to ferment, we've end up with a really tasty drink with only 3.5% abv.
So good for summer! Stock up now.

Based on a single varietal Chisel Jersey cider aged in oak barrels for a year. Into this cider we infused the (painstakingly) hand-peeled zest of mandarins and tangelos grown in our own tiny citrus grove. The result is a proper, off-dry cider that’s bursting with orange blossom, sherbet and marmalade. Fresh Hopped is a special collaboration with our friends at Duncan's Brewing Company, a celebration of our two harvests coming together.
Duncan's works with Eggers Hop Farm for their hops each year which is located a stone's thrown from our orchard. Together with the Duncan's team, we collected fresh hops straight off the bine from Eggers and brought them back to the cidery.
For the freshest hop cider in the land with beautiful lush hop flavour, our cidermaker Jody, added the hops to a partially fermented cider and then over night the fermentation completed with the fresh hops soaking.
The result is a fabulously aromatic cider, dry in style with a delightful citrus and tropical character coming from the fresh Motueka hops. Balanced and fruity, the hops and the apple flavour are perfectly integrated for a refreshing cider.
Apples: Brown's, Kingston Black, Tom Putt
Hops: Motueka from Eggers Hop Farm

Unit price perThis Brut is a blend of about thirty apple varieties. Some varieties are bitter and rich in tannins that provide body, along with some sweeter, softer varieties providing flavour and balance. This is a light and fruity cider, natural and a little alcholised, but rich in flavour. Best drunk fresh from a wine glass! Can fly solo, but rather good when paired with pork or fish.
