This Gigondas by Domaine Espiers is deep, rich and fruity. The nose is complex and savoury, with black olive and pepper notes held together by a ripe dark fruit backdrop. The palate reveals a ripe, layered wine with mild tannins and a long finish.

Chateauneuf du Pape is the most important red wine in the southern Rhone Valley and was also the first appellation in France when it was formed in 1936 to protect the authenticity of the area's wines. Up to 18 different grape varieties are allowed to be used in reds and whites made under the Chateauneuf du Pape AC today, with no distinction made as to the exact percentages used. This means the wines from here can vary significantly in style and they tend to be big powerful reds with great longevity. 

Domaine Janasse is one of our top Chateauneuf du Papes in store at Regional. It's a blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourv?dre and 5% Cinsault with 80% of the wine having been aged in stainless steel and 20% in barrel (30% new) for 12 months. 

It's a dry, full bodied, powerful red with pronounced red and black fruit flavours buoyed up by spice, cedar and savoury notes. 

70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourv?dre from the Rhone. A rich, well structured wine. Full of plum and stewed fruit aromas. No oak results in pure fruit expression on the palate. 

Corbieres is a large appellation in the Languedoc in the south of France and is best known for its deep, dark, full bodied reds, like this wine, made from Grenache and Syrah. The region's warm climate and variety of soils mean that wines from Corbieres tend to gain a complex range of flavours from fruity to earthy and spicy. This wine delivers big time on flavour and is great value for money.

Variety is the spice of life - this medium bodied red wine comes from a quirky region in France, namely Jura, situated between Burgundy and Switzerland. 

Rolet Arbois Rouge is made from Trousseau, a dark skinned grape that's indigenous to Jura. 

Blanc de Blancs champagnes are a Chardonnay lover's dream with nougat, vanilla, fresh cream and nutty flavours combining in a smooth textured dry, full bodied bubbly.

It's made from Grand Cru vineyards in the villages of Avize and Ogier in the Côte des Blanc; the Champagne region's epicentre of Chardonnay. 

This high quality sparkling wine is a dry style with 9 grams per litre of residual sugar and it is fresh, soft and rich in style. The wine was disgorged in July 2019. 

One of the world's great value sparkling wines, made the same way as champagne, often from the same grape varietiess and in France, only it is not aged for as long in the bottle. That said, the complex yeasty rich flavours and dry taste of this lovely Alsatian bubbly definitely give more than a hint of the depth of taste in a good champagne. 

How is it possible to roll all these flavours into one affordable wine? Ask the Famille Perrin, one of the great winemaking families in southern France, who create this complex, fruity, earthy and fresh Cotes du Rhone from a blend of Grenache (mainly from their Pr?bois vineyard in Orange), Syrah from further north in Vinsobres and Mourv?dre. While many less interesting Cotes du Rhone are made from a straightforward blend of Grenache and Syrah, the addition of the dark, mocha-like flavours of Mourv?dre add depth, richness and smooth soft velvet mouthfeel. 

The grapes in this wine were destemmed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks between 150hl and 190hl. Extraction is done by pumping over and the frequency is determined by tasting. The separate component wines are transferred partly to oak barrels and partly to stainless steel vats for a year's maturation, prior to blending. 

The result is outstanding dry red wine flavours with rich soft fruit appeal and a long finish; all to be hoped for from the family who own Chateau de Beaucastel.

This is a great young red with medium term ageing ability and especially fresh and consistent thanks to being sealed with a screw cap.

Dry, dark and full bodied wine with impressive structure, made from 100% Syrah grown on 20 to 50 year old vines planted on limestone, sand and pebbles in the appellation of St Joseph. This wine is fermented in stainless steel and was aged for 16 months in second fill oak barrels.

From the Cairanne sub-region in the Cotes du Rhone. This is a powerful yet nuanced wine with an excellent smoothness. This Cote du Rhone is defined by its ripe fruit character and peppery spice. Excellent concentration and earthiness makes for a complex, satisfying red.

100% Tannat aged in oak tuns and wooden tanks for 12 to 15 months. This wine is a deep, intense red. Elegant on the nose, with aromas of black fruits (blueberry and blackberry) dominating the hint of spice. A remarkable fullness on the palate, with tannic chewiness and unexpected roundness. The long finish has vanilla delicacy. A delightful wine, both powerful and elegant. It can easily be kept for 8 to 10 years. ? Chateau Aydie.

Beautiful dry, refreshing, concentrated French Chenin Blanc with intense flavours of green apples, apricots, honey and white floral aromas. This outstanding wine comes  from one of the smallest and highest quality wine regions on the northern side of the Loire, which is dedicated entirely to the great white Chenin Blanc. 

This wine is great drinking now and will age well for the next two decades. 

"Les Baronnes" is a wine of exotic fruit and citrus aromas; subtle yet powerful. Its persistence and harmony find their origin in the exposition and quality of the terroir. Delicate nose with aromas of white flesh fruits and citrus, this Sancerre is highlighted by its typicity. - Henri Bourgeois. 

This Pouilly Fumé is grown on chalky clay vineyards grown on sloping hillsides in the Loire Valley. This wine has a floral and smoky character which flatters the fruity aroma, roundness and long, flinty finish.

This is one of the most sought after, cult Beaujolais and available on allocation only. Earthy, complex and limited - our allocation is 12 bottles only and that's it for 2024. 

Brother and sister, Mathieu and Camille Lapierre, are doing a tremendous job of keeping their fathers’ vision alive. Again, volumes aren’t huge and it’s a juggling act to share the different cuvees around, but these are cracking Beaujolais.
