Swifty is named after the Swiftburn stream that flows through Royalburn Station in the South Island's high country, where our spray-free barley is grown. Brewed by the good folks at Garage Project, this is a Refreshing Beer. An uncomplicated, easy-drinking classic ale. You beauty.

Originally bottled in 2018 this blend of mixed ferment oak barrels infused with rhubarb and strawberry was tucked away to condition and mellow. What happened next? Was it lost, was it misplaced or did it simply slip from our minds? ?Rediscovered? five years later, like a well aged wine the beer is transformed with the glow of french polished teak, mellow fruit and delightful sherry like complexity.

You can have too much of a good thing. London, October 17, 1814, one of the Horse Shoe Brewery’s massive beer vats collapses releasing over half a million litres of porter, demolishing nearby buildings and killing eight people - their causes of death variously described as drowning or drunkenness. The Great Deluge, brewed with barley, oats, roasted wheat and East Kent Goldings, then aged in oak barrels for over a year with brettanomyces and lactobacilli creating a throwback style porter with dark chocolate and coffee notes and a restrained tart twist. Enjoy in moderation.

7.7% - Norwegian Farmhouse

It's a tricky business, getting into drinking competitions with giants. Expect the unexpected. Thor's Cup, inspired by the traditional farmhouse ale that has been made in Norway for centuries, using Kveik yeast (pronounced kwike in English). Brewed using fresh juniper branches in the mash and a touch of beech smoked malt, this beer's unique flavour comes from two mixed Kveik cultures collected from traditional brewers in Voss and Hornindal, and brought back to New Zealand. Dark malts vie with tart yeast driven complexity and subtle hints of smoke and resin in a beer that can truly claim to be unique. Drink deep from the cup, but keep your wits about you.

A hidden valley of hops. T?taki Haze, luscious hazy IPA, brewed with juicy New Zealand grown malted barley, wheat and oats and hops grown on the Nelson Lakes farm at the meeting point of the M?takitaki and T?taki rivers. It?s Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka like never before, loaded with ripe tropical mango, passionfruit and lifted lime citrus. Discover a new world of flavour.

7.2% - Raspberry & Plum Sour 

Sometimes life gives you another bite of the cherry. If you're really lucky though, you can have a second bite at all sorts of fruit. Two Bites, oak barrel aged beer, fermented with our own house culture and then ‘double dipped’ with second use raspberries and organic heritage plums for a deep, soft fruit flavour. Go on, have another bite.

Kettle soured wheat, lightly salted and infused with white peaches - a delicate three way salty, sweet and sour balancing act. A little bit of white mischief in a beer where anything gose.

4.5% - Citrus Lemon Lager

The ultimate in fizzy yellow refreshment. Yello, citrus lemon lager. Brewed with pilsner malt, Wai-iti hops and 100% natural distilled lemon zest. Bright, crisp and clean with just a hint of malt sweetness balanced with delicate hop and juicy citrus zing. Just add sunshine. Oh yeah!

In Japan, during the briefest of seasonal windows, green yuzu on the cusp of ripeness is combined with crushed green chilli and salt, then fermented to create a uniquely piquant seasoning. Inspired by this tradition, Yuzukoshō is a kettle soured pilsner, brewed with green chilli, the fresh zest of locally grown green yuzu and a judicious dose of sea salt. The result is a beer that captures the essence of seasonal freshness, bursting with salty sour citrus, and delicate chilli heat. "
